Step 1

Simultaneously press the Windows and R key on the keyboard to open a Run dialogue box. Next, type ‘services.msc’ within the input field and tap on the OK button. Double-click on the first search result to open the Service window. Alternatively, you can open the Control Panel by using the Start menu. Within the Control Panel, you have to change the View by option to the Large icon. Next, scroll down and select the Administrative Tools option. Under here, find and click on the Services option.

Step 2

Under the Service tab, you should select the Routing, Remote Access, Remote Auto Connection Manager, Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol services. Right-click on each of them and from the context menu choose the Properties option. 

Step 3

In case, the services are running, you should click on the Stop button. The next thing that you should do is to set the Startup type to Automatic. Then, tap on the Start button, and exit from the window. Repeat the process for all the services.

Step 4

If you see an error while clicking on the Start menu, follow the above steps, and open the Service window. After that, proceed to the Login tab and furthermore hit the Browse button. 

Thereafter, you need to type your account’s name within the ‘Enter the object name to select’ entry box. Select the Check Names and wait until the Name appears on the screen. Solution 2: Change the Dynamic IP Address to Static IP Address

To apply this solution, first, open the Control Panel by using the Start menu. Under the Control Panel, scroll below and click on the ‘Hardware & Sounds’ option. Under here, tap on the ‘View and Printers’ option.

Proceed to the Printer section. Furthermore, you should right-click on the printer that you wish to remove and select Properties from the list of options. Move to the Ports tab. After that, expand the port column until you see the IP address. Then, open a web browser and type the IP address within the given field. And, finally hit the Enter key.  

To sign-into, the printer’s network setting, enter your printer’s name and password as well as hit the OK button. Under the printer network setting, you have to locate the IP configuration button and ensure that IP configuration is set to Manual or Static.

Next, type the static IP address and tap on the Apply button to save the changes. Reboot your computer and see if the error message still appears or not.
